- The most common cause is that the beer glass has been washed in detergent, and not thoroughly rinsed. The film residue that is left will quickly break down any head that is formed. Always rinse beer glasses
thoroughly in clean water and dry them immediately.
You can use a heading compound (powder or liquid) to enhance the head on your beer. This is added prior to bottling/barreling.
