 As most of the beer kits available are for producing 22.5
litres (40 pints / 5 gallons), you will need a 25 litre fermenter, which MUST be food grade and made from clear or white high density plastic.
Coloured plastic buckets frequently contain dyes that are toxic, and therefore must not be used.
A printed scale up the side of the bin showing litres/gallons is useful. If your bucket has not got a scale printed on, then
fill the bucket with water at one gallon intervals, marking each gallon with a marker.
