Important announcement: It is with deep sadness that we have to announce the death of Mr Robert Harris, founder of Harris Filters, Harris Homebrew, homewinemaking.co.uk, homebeermaking.co.uk and Shop4homebrew. Mr Harris started the business in 1971 and actively managed it until April, when he was diagnosed with a fast growing brain tumour. Following a short illness, he passed away Sunday 12th May at 6pm. Mr Harris developed the business enthusiastically and always operated a policy of honesty, integrity and excellent customer service. His background was in nuclear science and he applied his skills to invent and manufacture the first wine filter available for home winemaking. He went on to design several products which are sold world wide. The funeral will be held on 24th May 2013 and as a mark of respect, the shop and business will remain closed during that day. We will open again Saturday 25th and will be then closed Bank Holiday Monday, reopening as normal on Tuesday 28th May. Thank you for your understanding. |
